I got my 2.5" mini spring leveling kit off ebay for around $200. It took me and my dad about 4 hours to put it on and it was only the first time either of us had ever done any kind of suspension lift.

I see that the kit is good for rims up to 8" wide, i have 16x9s that i want to put on my truck, will those not work???? Anyway,looks like a very viable option and reasonably priced. When the time comes, i will be calling. Also, i have Bilstein 5100s on my truck, will i need to upgrade them???

 

Wheel size should be fine and the shocks will also be ok if they are in good shape.

 

ok, thats what i was thinking. The shocks are only a couple years old and not one problem with them

 

Yep, with the mini spring pack the eye to eye measurement is the same as stock since the lift takes place under the spring pack so your shocks will be fine.

9" wide wheels are fine.

As long as it has stock leaf springs in the front, yes.



Side Note:
Only thing different when lifting DRW trucks is the rear u-bolts since the D80 tubes are larger diameter.

 

I have heard about an "x" code spring?

what is the differences?...how does one tell what spring pack they have?

are there any other spring pack configurations?

would one of these options be able to raise the front of the truck to level?

 

"x" codes come with snow plow packaged trucks. They will raise you up about 1.75-2".
