yeah thats what i was thinking, i was looking at few of theri differnt turbos and im not sure as to what size i need (inducer wheel, exducer wheel ect.) what size(s) would be good to go with as a single with fairly good spooling. ive thought about an ht3b but im not sure if thats to big either...?

dirk i greatly aperciate ALL of your help and input on all the questions/threads i have, youve been very imforamtive and helpfull and i thank you for it, :ford:

Ht3b is old school, but it would work. You'd need to find a smaller turbine housing to get it to light. At your altitude, you might able able to get away with a 22 housing...

There are many people out there that will give good info about the ht3b on the powerstroke. For the ht3b, I'd call Joe Hellmann at Hellmann Performance. He's admitted that he doesn't know much about the powerstroke, but I've gained a lot of knowledge about the ht3b form him. He definitely KNOWS that turbo.

Is there a motor that uses the s300 or s400 stock? or maybe a h2e? i have lots of connections for finding motors and parts trucks around here. i didnt know if they were strictly aftermarket or they were a stocker for something else...

I personally ran an S465 with stock A codes for a few weeks, it was a 65/73/.90 T4, and it was alot of fun to drive, I have no doubt it would perform as well with AD's, as my OBS was already intercooled at that time. I then ran it with 275's, and it lit very quickly and was about 1:1 up to 42ish psi of boost.

Marauder, that S472 would be nice, and you could get a T4 housing for it for around $125.

When I had my S465 I had $800 in it: $525 for the turbo(it came w/1.10 T6), $125 for the .90 T4 housing, and $150 for the flanged outlet comp housing I later bought to replace the booted outlet housing it came with.

NH OIL BURNER, S400's and GT42's came mostly on Detroit Series 60's.
