Turn off EGR with tuner or leave it on until deleted???

I just bought a 2006 F250 powerstroke last week. Was an original owner truck & only has 64k miles on it. Also have all service records & it had an exhaust/Intake cleaning done at the dealer about 20k miles ago & the truck is 100% stock. I already had an SCT livewire TS 5015 from my other truck & I decided to load the "trans only" tune. I seen there is an option to turn off the EGR & I was going to do it but first wanted to know if there is any negative side effects of turning it off while not physically deleting it?? In the next couple months the truck will have an EGR delete & ARP headstuds installed... From what I understand turning it off will keep the soot out of my intake but will not solve the cooler issue... Should I turn it off & run it for a couple months until its deleted or leave it turned on until it is removed??

Thanks

Doesn't matter either way if it's gonna be deleted in a few months. Just turn it off now. All its doing is closing the egr valve 100% all the time. It will neither expedite nor help anything cooler wise.

Thanks guys. Just making sure it won't mess anything else up in the meantime.
