My buddy has an all stock 2011 f350 with the 6.7 powerstroke but he wants to make the turbo whistle louder with out doing the exhaust. Is there any easy mod like on a duramax where you can just put a plug in? Open to all ideas

New stock diesels are quiet from the factory, we all have to deal with that. Heck you can barely even hear a new 6.7 Cummins. Duramax is about the loudest from the factory at this point.
When you put an aftermarket exhaust on a Ford 6.7 it still isnt like the 7.3 or 6.0s. I'm sure that there are things you can do to help but it isnt going to be like a Navistar.
You can run it with nothing on the intake tube and barely hear the turbo. Having 18+inches of metal intake in front of the turbo kills most of the noise I think.
Is the any chance you could work with the air mufflers in the intake manifold? Not sure if that would increase any turbo whistle but its worth a shot. Any ideas?
My truck is stock and while driving with the windows down (and near a curb, or anything that reflects sound back), the turbo whistle is definitely noticable.
I have read there is a silencer ring on the turbo housing that can easily be removed with not harm to the engine and you get a turbo whistle. I'm going to try it on my 2019 F250
