The truck in question is an '08 with 3.73 in the diff. I'm running the minimax with the hotdamn and race-shift tunes. Why would the TC lock-up in fourth gear under a heavy load,unlock shift into fifth and lock-up again, is this normal ? I have installed procomp ladder bars for the 6'' lift the truck has and its on 37's. Also what can ido for the limited slip only one spins it sucks? Thanks in advance for any help guys.

did you just load up the tune? sometimes the tranny needs a bit of learning time to adjust to the shifts and driving habits.

i dont know how the TC lock up is with that tuner, but its normally after 45-50mph or after 2nd gear
Yeah I just installed the tune lastnight and i did the relearn but if yall say its normal its good enough for me, any vendors sell a true trac limmited slip?
Mine doesn't lock until after 45 and in drive. But I think if I load the race lock file it locks in every gear, well probably not 1st.
It could be your TCM, like I think my quirk is. Mine shifts into fifth, and stays in it if I am under 2500 rpm or over 3000rpm when it shifts. If not then it drops into OD then out of it into fourth then a sec later back into OD.

Could that cause any damage Ive heard with the taller tires you should change your diff. gears.
I had my gears changed too. I have the live wire with Eric's tunes. It compensates for tire and/or gear changes. I have been worried that it could cause damage, just haven't been able to get anyone to narrow it down for sure. Just phone conversations.
will do, It has done it since first tuning it and with different tuners. It is about the only thing left it can be.

The harder you shock a limited slip the more it grabs, with 3.73 gears you wont be able to shock it too quick. If it were my truck I would have 4.56's in it.

On the TC, mine doesnt do that. But I am into OD and locked TC around 35, 4.88's shift quick. I use the firmer than stock and lock from Eric.

For the Innovative put the tire size in just a little bigger than what you have and see.
