I bought a e99 7.3 that the previous owner installed stage 1.5 180cc 30% single shot injectors. The truck has a bully dog on it as a monitor and a ts6 chip as a tuner. My buddy recently said he saw my exhaust Glow red and has been on me about the tunes ever since. He’s said ts tunes are the worst of the worst and it should be ripped out immediately to save the truck and that the bully dog stock tuning will run better than the ts6 tunes. Is this true or can I put tunes on the bully dog for single shot injectors? As of now the ts chip blocks everything out from the bully dog so it’s just a monitor but I wouldn’t mind it becoming my tuner as I know it does much more. Just worried about how the truck will do having those injectors or what I can do about it

Are you sure your EGT guage is working correctly? I have DP tunes on my t6 and its works great for the last 2 years, had casserly's tuning on it for 2 years before that and I've had no issues. I would never trade it for canned tuning like bully dog or the like.

Bully dog is just a garbage of tuning. To get the most out of the truck, in terms of bang- for- buck, is custom tuning. You can send your TS out to get reburned, or buy a Hydra and load the tunes yourself on a computer
Get the EGT gauge installed, if you are running any type of tunes.
When you look at the temperatures that you might be running at it may scare you. It also might save you from having to rebuild the engine.

A TS switch and Hydra are only good as the tunes loaded on them.
I have a ts 6, but have swamps performance tunes on it for their baby swamp injectors from 2017.
If you dont like the tunes on it, have someone else burn some new ones on it. At that point the chip is nothing more that a dial switch with other peoples tunes
