place is a scam, buyers beware! spent almost 3k on a wheel and tire combo and the tire came flat with a hole in the sidewall. either they did it or the shipping company they used. I took pics and a video when I noticed in 45 mins after they were delivered. I told the company and they took forever to respond. now today they tell me since "I" didn't tell the shipping company right when I noticed it that they prolly cant get the insurance out of them and the best thing they could do was offer me a new one at there COST. I told them that it was bull**** cause it came damaged. why should I have to pay for a new one? I even offered to pay for the install if they sent a new one and that I would ship them the old one back. after our last convo they stated again that they could only give me one at cost and I could keep the old one for a spare. what can I do with a tire with a hole in the sidewall? there a scam and im warning u guys not to deal with them so u don't get scammed too. now I have a set of wheels I cant use since its unsafe to run a tire with a patch on the sidewall. they use a bunch of different names online so be careful. I should have know it was a ****ty place cause they stopped answering there phone after I paid the money and waited while back order cleared.

I don't know if I would call it a scam. If you do a lot of shipping or even a little bit of it you will know that you need to report to the shipping company and not the company that you purchased it from for any problems that may of happened during shipping asap.

Now if I was with SD Wheel Corp I would step up and take care of it for you instead of giving you the run around but this is the way that a lot of businesses handle these things anymore.

Everything was really good helping me choose a wheel etc. they have been very laxed with getting back to me once I paid and now even worse. I'm sure it's the shipping companies fault but that's why there's shipping insurance. I expected them to make it right with me then go after the shipping company for the damage. That's why I took pics and a vid. They told me if they went after the shipping company that it would take to long to get it resolved 60-90 days so the best they could do was give me a new tire at cost. How is this my fault? Maybe they should use a better shipping company I dunno. I just don't get how there basically telling me I'm ####ed and want me to buy another 500 dollar tire.

How big of an outfit is this SD? Bigger outfits have the financial means to 'escrow' (in a way) a bunch of customer returns and assume responsibility for the debates between manufacturer, shipper, etc. They can afford this luxury. Smaller mom and pop average store size places with little more than a free eBay front do not. Is this a little Up and Comer that can barely afford to sell you the replacement at cost let alone the free guilt shipping he'd probably throw in to keep the peace? That's the best customer support he has the means to do.

Where have you gotten with the shipping company? I could both rant and rave on various couriers, some are great for claims while others are remiss at best. I think you kinda hinted that it was obviously on the shipper so hopefully you've got that in the works. One thing I've seen as a trend with shipping damage claims is as long as you stick with them you eventually get them. The squeaky wheel adage is perfect right here. It seems they all know that at the end of the day they have to honor their contract with you and they know they will, just making it tiresome and complicated for you definitely encourages your giving up. They like when you giveup.
