Bump, No-one knows the Hex number for the PID? I know the name of the PID, however need the hex number in order to try and write it in scangauge as a monitor.

Ok so working with Linear Logic and a little trial and error we were able to pull the below readings from the PCM using the scangauge ii with X-Gauge:

FICM Power (12 Volts)
FICM Logic Power (12 Volts)
FICM Main Power (48 Volts)

I am waiting for a final confirmation from Liner Logic for the math calculations but i am testing this on my truck right now and everything checks out, curious to how many people are interested in the X-Gauge code for the above readings??? I will send a follow up post with confirmation from Linear Logic and possibly the codes if people want them to add to their display

FYI.... the MTH line needs to only be 12 digits. I just took off the last zero.

I think my scaling is off.... I on my torque app...(I know its not a scangage) but if I get it to work with my phone I will post the equation that works.

Just had time to put in the FICM Main power. Got readings of 48.5, 48.0 47.5, and lowest of 45.5 on a 0-65 run.

I'll try to get the others entered in today, and report back.

 

I use the torque app with a bluetooth-OBDII dongle.... works in the same fashion. (A bit more math involved)

I will calc. this out and put the values in and see what I get.

Hey guys, I have a ScanGauge II also, have had it a few weeks..... I'm very interested in what you're doing with yours, and I'll start messing more with mine and see if I can come up with something to add to this.

I just hooked mine up today. This was well worth the money! Hottest eot was 190 and hottest ect was 185 while driving home today. Ficm was 48 for main power. I haven't tried the turbo gauge yet but should sometime this week. I really think this is the way to go if you’re going to monitor your eot and ect. What shoud my icp readings look like? I know you want less than a 15 degree difference for eot and ect but not too sure on what to look for when it comes to icp reading.

 

ICP about 581, IPR about 20-30%, this is at idle, readings should go up together the more fuel goes in the engine. What are all your other gauges reading, wait till you fill up your truck, i set mine up as diesela did u do the same?

Let me know what other readings you are getting from your scangauge, GPH, HP, CPM, MAP, MAT, VGT, MFD. VFD, etc etc

 

Truck was plugged in last night and I started it this morning. ICP was 58, IPR 27.4, map was 14.1. I don’t know why but the highest my ICP went up to was around 91 and that was climbing a nice sized hill. I think the scan gauge just shows say 58 when it’s actually 580 because the truck runs fine. I will mess around with it more this week and see if I typed in the ICP directions incorrect when I programmed it. GPH was around 1 or sometimes little less.

Re-check the mth part of the code for the ICP, this is the multiplier and for pressure it should go up alot, i have seen mine as high as 2000psi injection pressure, map im guessing was at idle, as map minus baro pressure = boost. Did you get EOT and ECT to work already?

 

My EOT and ECT run right around 190 running unloaded. Pulling a hill and and getting my EGT up around 925 brought both EOT and ECT into the high 109's. The biggest spread between my EOT and ECT has been 8 degrees. Normally my EOT is 4 to 6 degrees higher than my ECT.
I'm going to program more of the X-gauge stuff today and let you know what I get.

Yes Eot and Ect are right on point. Highest difference has been 8 degrees. Coolant runs about 182 and oil around 188 normally. I’m going to have to play with the math part for the icp. I figured that’s what was wrong with it. The map reading was also at idle. Trans temp reading was dead on with my glow shift gauge. I was just curious to see how accurate the x gauge would be. IPR is between 20-30s and I have seen high of 41 when climbing a big hill. I put in the fcim codes toady. Main power is steady at 48 and vehicle power for the fcim was around 13 volts. So far I’m really impressed with this unit. I’m going to finish programming it this weekend and start writing down readings when I start it and then once I’m done driving for the day. I drive around 50 miles around trip to work and back so.

 

see if your trip works good? I am playing around with mine right now, but the scangauge records mileage slower than the odometer so i will have to tweak that.

 

I didn't know the mileage was off. I looked at the trip today and it seemed to be working right. Il take another look at it.
