Just clean out the pipes with a rag and the boots as well. If the boots are in bad shape, replace them.
You do not really need to take the intercooler out and drain it. Most who do only get a little bit of oil out of it, and that small amount of oil is not worth the hassle.
I took all my intercooler pipes off and cleaned them out with brake cleaner but dont clean the boots with brake cleaner as there material doesnt like brake cleaner. You should take the intercooler out and dump the oil out of it to. I took mine out and dumped about a quart of oil that was laying in there from over the years.
After you clean the pipes run the truck for several hundred miles and then pull one of the pipes and re-check it for oil. If you still have oil then it is coming from the turbo. At that point you have several choices...do nothing, re-build the turbo or replace it.
thanks guys, I cleaned the pipes out, so ill drive it for a few weeks and if there is oil in it again I think ill just rebuild it. The shaft is starting to get a little play in it anyhow and I don't have the cash right now to replace it, cuz if I replace it im gunna wanna go bigger :evil
