Welcome aboard! nice lookin rig, what all have you done to it?

 

The better question is what havent I done to it. I'll try to post pictures of before and afters. But aftermarket wise ive got the stock garrett turbo setup but i have the bigger turbo housing and a 4''straight pipe exhaust. Ive replaced just about everything on this truck except the engine and tranny themselves. Got it painted and out a new seat in it. This is my first diesel and instead of learning on it and due to my work schedule alot of maintenance has been done at the shop. Still considering a small lift kit for it and i still need to adjust the IP and wastegate to get more boost, im only pushing about 7lbs right now and im loking to hit that 11-12 range, i dont haul too much so i wont have to worry about my EGT's gettin too high, i think ive only pushed them over 600 once since ive installed my gauges although i do think it is reading a little off. Any other questions just go ahead and ask.

Ive had it for just about 2 1/2 years now. You wouldnt believe the money ive put into this thing. I jumped into this truck blinded by the DIESEL tag it had on it. Didnt know anythign about it or the IDI's period. they arent too popular out here I just wish I had more time to do the work myself and i couldve saved thousands. What about your truck? how long have you owned it?

 

Yea I bet you got screwed over on labor, lots of $$..looks really good tho. How much did you pay for it when you got it?

BTW parents had the truck since 93..I started driving it when I turned 16, then offically under my name for past 2 years. It was stock when I got it.

 

The best way to get a truck is stock IMO. But yeah ive paid out the crapper in labor. Including the 2600 i paid to buy it ive put just about 13,000 into. Ive replaced most of the parts atleast once and some of the parts twice. But having this money into i know i would never even get half of my money out of it so its making me want to finish more and more. Ive got door panels and small stuff left to do. I want a gear vendor unit but this C6 is holding up so strong I almost dont want to mess with it.

Thanks, means alot to finally have some guys that know what an IDI is. Most people around here just think its some old truck
