SCT with custom tunes is the only way to go for a programmer. After that I'd put an exhaust on it. Next thing is gauges you need to monitor your stuff. I like to monitor boost,egt,tranny temp, and fuel pressure and my gauge of choice is an edge CTS because of all the diffrent things you can monitor. You have 2 problems to deal with on the 6.0, an egr which you can get a egr delete. Also the headgaskets are bad about blowing so when that happens get a set of head studs put in. Then when you want bigger power comes injectors, fuel system, turbo etc.... I can get you anything you need.

 

Also look into a coolant filter as well. Good insurance.

 

PROGRAMMER WISE REMOVE THE BANKS SEX-GUN, AND PICK UP A SCT WITH CUSTOM TUNES AND A EDGE CTS MONITOR FOR PROJECT ALL MY GAUGES. AND A EGR DELETE KIT WITCH ONE IS RECOMMENDED?

 

About all egr delete kits are close to the same I sell the performance machine kit on my site. Holderdownperformance.com Also the CTS is on there as well as the SCT. For the CTS you will need those options listed to monitor fuel pressure and egt. I also usually use a tapped billet fuel filter cap for the fuel pressure sending unit.

 

What is the difference between SCT livewire with custom tune, and and SCT X3.

 

The livewire is a monitor too for gauges. But it's not real nice,it's bulky and ugly. So I like the x3 you plug it in program it and unplug throw in your glovebox.

 

I love my CTS, a bit pricey to get every you need for fuel pressure but worth it!

Now i have been wondering since this truck is not my daily driver. Used to trailer my sport bikes and for truck shows. How do i make it, blow black smoke out of my stacks. I dont want it to happen all the time. Is there a smoke switch? I know many older men think its disrespectful to blow black smoke and its killing the sport but nothing say diesel power like leaving someone in darkness.

Any suggestion on how to do this?

Just time consuming.

 

Lifting cab is the best way to do headstuds and stuff. We use arp studs with oem gaskets. Also most egr delete kits are alot alike.

 

What EGR delete kit should i be looking into? What are the differences?
