I got 01 Factory Foglights that I want to install on my 99. The holes are in the bumper, no problem there. I need to find the pigtail to fit the back of the bulb though. Does anyone know where I can get this? I have been to ORiely's, Napa, and the Local Dealer and they all say they can't get it. I need some help here. Really want to get them hooked up!! TIA for any info.

Tried two local Junkyards. Got on motorcraft.com and found a pigtail WPT-148?? This may be what i need.

By Sheilded Spade, do you mean like a speaker wire type fitting??? That is a helluva good idea if i can't find the pigtail I need.

Then run the wires up to the battery to a relay and to the battery... then the otherside of the relay to a key on switch or lights on switch...

Yes. like a speaker spade.

If you can find one that fits, and already has the plastic cover over it to protect from corrosion. Then tape it up.

That is a good Idea, but i don't know if it will work or not Marty. Seems like there is pins up in there.

I thought there was a bunch of guys out there doing this? No one knows where to get this pigtail????

Any parts house should have a plug for a 9005 headlight ( I think thats the bulb for it...) Thats all you need it two of them???

Yeah thats all i need. Easier said than done. At napa and at Oriely's they both cross referanced the bulb number and neither one could come up with it. One dealer said no, they couldn't get it and one dealer said check that motorcraft.com site. I have an email in to powerstrokeshop.com, no answer yet. You pretty sure about that bulb number?

So much work for two little lights :D

Go to a junkyard and find a fog light that takes the same one and just clip it off... other cars have them.

I've bought them at least 4 times at Autozone and Parts Plus. They're usually in the Help section, sometimes with the fuses and switches. Stay away from the idiots behind the counter. There's a reason that's why they do what they do for a living.

Thats most parts stores!!!

Smitty, got your PM. Checked today at work for the pigtails, only way to get them from Ford is the harness. But, we get our pigtails, hardshells and other misc wiring from a supplier. I e-mailed him today and told him what you are looking for. I should hear back from him Wednesday (tomorrow).

I will let you know.

When I added my fog lights I bought the pigtails at autozone. Not sure about the bulb number but what I did was I took one of the fog lamps into Autozone with me and started taking pigtails out of the packages and trying them till I found the one that fit.

Thanks for all the help guys. I was calling around to places trying to save on Fuel and finally got fed up and took the lights to an Autozone and CISPD was correct, it is the pigtail that fits a 9005 bulb. $5.99 each. Got my relay and switch and I am ready to go. Should be pretty easy now.

On a side note, I walked into an autozone with the light and the guy behind the counter said, what the hell is that? and what does it do?

I know what you mean Marty, so much work to hook up two little lights hahaha. Thanks again to everyone for all the help. I love this site!!!
