MAF Sensor Delete Kit???

Has anyone ever seen or heard of a mass airflow sensor delete kit? cause my truck has one, it's had it ever since I bought it. It also has a boost fooler on it. It's a 04 F-250 6.0L. I get horrible gas milage about 8-10 MPG no matter if its around town or highway, and I know 35's and a 6" lift doesn't help but I don't think it should be that bad. Now with the maf delete and the boost fooler on the map sensor, I'm guessing the computer really has no idea how much air it is getting, so I took the boost fooler off and I guess I am going to get a maf sensor, but it doesn't show a check engine light now, could they have done something like a resistor somewhere to bypass the maf sensor so there is no check engine light?? Both of my exhaust manifolds are leaking, both from where they mount to the motor, the left side also leaks from the egt probe, and the right also leaks from where the up pipe mounts to it. could all of this be causing such a horrible gas mileage??

Does the truck have head studs? Any loss of coolant?

The exhaust manifolds do not have gaskets from the factory. Ford sells gaskets to resolve the manifold leaks. I doubt that that would drop your mileage by that much.

Can you show pics of this "MAF delete"??
Sounds more like you have a IAT sensor versus the MAF sensor.

Some trucks came equipped with 2 IAT sensors (1 at the intake and 1 at the intake manifold) over the MAF (intake) and the IAT sensor (intake manifold) configuration.

coolant is fine. The head gasket went before I bought it and again after I bought it. So I had new arp studs put in and I also bought new heads because i didn't want the problem again. When it was done the first time the guy messed up torquing the studs (two of the nuts were cross threaded) since I had it done there has been no problem with the head gasket. I actually just installed a coolant filter and had it flushed on friday. I will post pics of the maf sensor delete kit tomorrow, it is just a billet block off plate and the wire is just hanging there not plugged into anything.

I was wondering the same thing about the maf sensor. my truck had the sensor in the intake but had a factory plug/block off on the wiring harness for the maf plug in

Hi, I realize that this thread is old but seems relevant to what I want to know.

I have an intake that has a MAF sensor port on it but my truck has a IAT sensor (Looks like the MAF plug goes to a IAT plug that goes to the sensor), I would like to put this intake onto my truck but the manufacturer (aFe) doesn't have any idea what I am talking about when I called them asking about a block off plate or adapter plate for an IAT sensor.

In short, How can I get the intake I have to work with the truck I have? I really don't want to have to try and sell the intake for a hundred bucks or so(ebay/craigslist) and have to buy another intake for 400+... Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

P.S. I have thought about getting a piece of sheet metal or something from a local store and cutting my own plate/adapter but that kind of sounds like a pain.
Would I be able to find a MAF sensor somewhere (if it's cost effective) and just plug it up/in or would that throw off the computer somewhere??
