I found my code on the third line.

 

I finally figured out my keyless entry door code!! My wife gave up reading the numbers to me after a few minutes because “it’s too hot out here”. Great help she was!! Finally cooled off and had a neighbor help read ‘em to me. Only took another 3-4 minutes from where we left off before and, Voila!! The door unlocked. It sure beat depending on the Stealership! Hope this helps someone!!
This worked on my '00 Excursion which has the hardwired keypad (almost flush with sheet metal on door) as opposed to the later model wireless remote one's that are just taped or glued on to the door (protrude from the sheet metal by approx. 1/2 inch).

 

Didn't use the deBruin chart, but mine is in the 4th line. I got a freebie from the dealer when I got a new key.

 

Pull the door panel off on the drivers side. There should be a box with a sticker on it. The 5 digit code is printed on the sticker. At least that's where it was on my Crown Vic.

 

Bringing back an old thread.......When I bought my X the lady said she never used the code and forgot what it was. I have a friend with an 04 who said he found a tag with the code on it under the dash somewhere? I also heard the dealer charges like $120.00 to reprogram it for you? Anyone got any other ideas on where to find the code or will I be better off to go to the dealer?

I have a 03 ex and my code was under the dash , kinda behind the radio.on a box , i used a mirror and flashlight.

 

I used the chart today and found mine. It was the 8th line down. Only took about 5 mins.

 

I am going to give this a try tonight....dumb question but when you use that chart you just go across the lines entering 5 numbers at a time?

I ended up going about 3/4 of the way through the chart but found my code....thanks again for the help!

I tried that chart a couple weeks ago and all it did was activate the security system and locked me out. Would not let me start the motor. I had find the reset procedure for the PATS system, I think thats what its called.
I'll try the chart again today.

 

on my pad once you enter too many wrong numbers it disables the pad for a minute or two.

 

Does anyone know if that box with the code is still below the radio on a 2006 F250? Im also looking for one for my girlfriends 09 Ford escape if anyone has experience with that?

 

I think on some SUVs the code is in the back on a lock actuator in one of those compartments but i could be wrong.

 

On my 06 I just took it to the dealer and they scanned it for free and gave me the master code so I could reset it.

 

how about an 08 6.4? im not even sure how to get the radio out in it but would the sticker with the "secret code" be behind it in this truck as it is the earlier models?

 

in my 06 250, it was in my owners manual.

 

where in the owners manual? is there a sticker in there with it or something?
