Hello there!

Does anybody have installed the KC turbo stage 1 to the 7.3 Powerstroke engine with stock injectors? Has anyone experienced any kind of issues?

My truck has been swapped from automatic transmission to ZF5 manual transmission, I hope that doesn´t affect the way the PCM performed with the KC turbo.

Greetings from Costa Rica!!

I am running the KC300x stage 1 on my 2002. It's pretty much a replacement turbo but a little better. I like that it has a 4" inlet and non EBP outlet. So it gets air in and out much more efficiently. It's an easy drop in unit too. Slightly different sound. Not louder or better, just different. I already had a 4" DP and full exhaust. Been running at 32-35 PSI on my 80hp Hydra setting and pushes closer to 38psi on the 100hp Hydra setting. It's a good feeling having a fresh turbo. My old one was dusted so bad the impeller blades looked as if they were purposely notched. Even so, didn't "feel" much of a difference after the install. What makes the biggest difference for me is leaving the wastegate vacuum line disconnected. Boost is lower and slower to come on with it connected.
Thank you so much for all this input. I really appreciate it!! (y)
