Well my truck has now cut out on me 3 times whole slowing down in the last few days, pulled the connector of the icp and it was full of oil. So I need a new sensor and was wondering if this was like the cps and only oem works? Because 150 bucks vs 25 for an aftermarket. What do you think??

I think the $25 one is $25 for a reason.

Ok that's kinda what I was figuring but wanted to make sure. And even better then buying a new one I realized I should just take it off my parts truck. That thing is a parts store in itself and sometimes I forget it's there lol

Just make sure it's the same part number.

There's a difference in the part numbers. From what I could find (which I think was posted by Clay from RiffRaff) is the main difference is the pin material. So it may not be a problem, but it's said that when you switch them, the dissimilar materials will lead to faster corrosion.

The 95 is a different material and part number but it will work. Just use some non oxidizing grease on the contacts.

I got my international icp for $110 on ebay. Works great. I wouldn't trust a $25 icp.

I wouldn't even trust a $80 one. Ask me how I know. Lol

Speaking from experience with sensors on my previous rig, 1996 F250 7.3 and my current, 2003 7.3 Excursion... You get what you pay for with sensors. Obviously in a pinch do whatever you need to do to get back on the road, but for long term, I would keep the cheapie as a spare and put a high quality part in. I was on the road when my ICP went out. Picked one up at NAPA for $150? I think, may have been less. Ran it for a while, now it has the Alliant ICP back in and the NAPA in the glove box "just-in-case."

I wouldn't chance it with the ipr or icp sensor.
Mine the ICP sensor started blowing oil. Big time.
