If you've never before installed one on an OBS.....

Have a great time. A plasma cutter will cut (literally) the removal of the original downpipe time in half.
Yeah, a sawzall works well too, it's quite a job to get the downpipe in. You have to cut the original out in 2 places and bend some of the bottom of the firewall back to get it to fit. I actually ended up cutting a small piece of the firewall out and then RTV silicone it up to seal it. But the downpipe takes a little time to get it in, be prepared to spend a good amount of time to get it in. You gotta take the trans mount off first and then let the engine/trans pivot down a little with a trans jack or post jack underneath. Hope that helps.

There's tons of them on the internet. Here's one from Xtreme Diesel, they seem to have pretty good prices. It's a MBRP one, a great exhaust.

Hope that helps. If you want something else, just search "powerstroke downpipes" on google and a bunch of stuff comes up.

Unless the OP is looking for an OEM replacement.

In that case, he won't find one (in one piece) unless the person who removed it took the transmission out or the cab off first.

No doubt. The ones I've done had the cab jacked up, the new downpipe clearanced slightly, and required a lot of "hammer time" with a large bar and 4+ lb. hammer.

LOLLOL yea I cut the s**t outta my OEM downpipe...to the scrap yard it went. Takin the cab off is definately the way to go. Didnt have enough time to go that route though, I was borrowing a friend's lift. I hope you smashed the firewall instead of the downpipe

Be sure it clears good! I just installed a tymar DP on mine. Drove to work last night and It is hitting and vibrating horribly when I let off the pedal. I am going to try and to fix it in place, but I am sure I will have to take the DP back off.

Got in a hurry, so now I am paying the price!!

Unless you have free materials and the appropriate tools (and loads of time for fit-up and fabrication), I would just buy one for $150 or less. JMHO though. Cheers!

The truck is someone elses that I'm working on. I replaced the transmission and they were going to order the 2 piece and had me remove the factory dp before re-installing the trans. Now a month later and they still havent ordered the pipe and I havent been paid because the truck isnt ready. I dont want to order it then not get reimbursed so I was going to make it. I have the materials and tools

It'll cost you a LOT more to make than to buy. If they don't want to order the parts or pay you, file for a mechanic's lien on the truck, and sell it.
