Humming Noise

Hello everyone. Newbie here to diesel. I just got a 2010 F250 6.4. Already had a radiator issue:frown:. Replaced radiator at a local shop. This was last week. So today, i heard a humming noise from the drivers side, close to the radiator. I think I pinned where its coming from. Pictures below of 2 hoses (don't know what they are), which run to the fuel cooler. When I touch these, I can feel the noise vibrating through the hoses. If I wiggle them, the noise will change just a tad bit, either sounding less or louder. While idling, it will lower, then come back up. I checked the fuel cooler and it seems to be very low, to the point I can't feel it with my fingers. Can I just add coolant 50/50 gold and top it off? Or is there is specific way to add coolant here?

Another question, can this be related to the install of the new radiator? Did they forget to add sufficient coolant to the fuel cooler? Assuming that now it has air and is making this noise. I found a video on youtube that seems similar, although I can't post it due to my privileges. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance!

When you did your radiator did you go wth an oem? Did you check your cab bushings?

Take a look at your cab bushings, they're a known reason (besides poor design) why the oem radiators sprung leaks. As they wear, the rad support becomes the flex point weakening the crimping that hold the end tanks on...

It should not run all the time. If it does you have a leak some where. The tank that the pump goes to is under the drivers side battery. you can get to it thru the fender liner. Just take it out. Then there is a bunch of fitting sticking up in front of the degas bottle. The line from the tank to that connection is the one that broke on mine.

The vacuum pump is used to actuate the four wheel drive. I believe it provides vacuum for something else as well, but I can't recall what it is at the moment. The pump will run at start up, and when it has a demand. If there is a leak, the pump will run more than it should. Trace the vacuum lines and check them for cracks. Make sure they are connected at each end. This should be a simple fix.

It does not have anything to do with vents, starting in 08 all of the vent controls are electric. On 6.4 its only there for the auto hubs.
