Recently i bought a 97 reg cab f-350 that had a sunvisor at 1 point. I can see all the holes filled with a silicone and a chrome cap covering the hole. It looks like #### to me so i bought a used Lund sunvisor and got it color matched. Now here's my problem, where do i get screws to install? I'm assuming i should get stainless, but what do you guys do to cover the screw head or do you let it show? I already have holes drilled so i guess i have to try and match the screw size or even go bigger. I'm gonna hope they installed the sunvisor using whatever screws you get when you buy it new, maybe someone can tell me the screw size Lund provides when buying new. Also, should I use RTV silicone in the holes with whatever screws i use or is there a better product? And do you need to drop the head liner?

My picture was for reference of the snap cap Only that came with My lund

the image actually shows 2 types of screws for reference
a
bugle head Philips wood screw and a slotted pan head machine screw

Sorry I thought the picture and Me stating snap cap was crystal clear

I would probably be using togglers if it were mine and there was a cavity

all this and many more choices are available at most any hardware store

Alright thanks guys. im gonna work on figuring out the screw hole size. ill go to a hardware store and get a couple different sizes and see what fits nicely. from there i can go about buying enough bolts for the whole visor. 3/4" inch sounds like it be right, i couldn't imagine being over 1 inch

Exactly. I also want to make sure i can find screws that have covers for the heads. that way i can paint them to match the rest of the truck on wont have screw heads standing out like a sore thumb

alright thanks guys. I swung by home depot and didnt have much luck in the bolt section. I got a small pack of 3/4" #14 self tappers just to see how they fit in the existing holes. From there i can see if i need smaller. It's supposed to rain next 2 days so by sunday i should be able to see the fit. I might as well swing by an autoparts store tomorrow to see about those screw head caps
