First off hello to everyone im a newb on here and this is my first post. I just bought a 1995 f350 powerstroke and the brake lights are not working the turn signals and running lights and backup lights work but when you hit the brakes no brake lights come on. I checked fuses and none appear to be blown so im stumped on this. This is my first powerstroke ive owned so i have no clue what to check. I would appreciate any help thanks

Welcome to the forum!

Check underdash fuse 13 again. Is your 3rd brake light on the rear of the cab working? If not, check to make sure that the Brake On/Off (BOO) Switch inder the dash on the brake pedal is closing when the brakes are applied. The wires will be a Light Green wire with Red trace coming from the fuse box and a Light Green wire going to the various circuits. If the switch is closing, you may need to check the multi-function switch on the steering column. Cheers!

You need to find out if there is voltage at the Light Green/Red trace wire at the BOO switch connector. If there is, you need to check to see if the BOO switch is good (open when pedal not pressed, closed when pedal pressed). Post back with your findings 9we'll figure it out!). Cheers!

Lazy-man's test - drive the truck, engage the cruise and tap the brake pedal lightly. If the cruise disengages, then the BOO switch on the pedal arm is at least doing something. If not, and you have to mash the brakes further and it finally disengages, that's the added switch on the front of the M/C (the one involved in the recall) kicking in. That would also confirm that the BOO is most likely at fault.

If the LG/R wire has no power, check underdash fuse 13. If there's no power there, check underhood fuse 13. Do your Hazards work? Cheers!
