Getin a rebuildable Powerstroke core

Well guys, Im talkin to a guy thats got a 97 Complete motor with out the injectors. Im gona go pick it up for 600 bucks!. Im gona build it a tad bit.. Here's the parts that ive got in mind so far!

1. Rebuild kit from black Widow
2. 250/30% hybirds from swamps
3.Gen 3 hpop
4. Mainstud girdle
5.Moddified H2E
6. Stage 3 water/meth
7. Swamps tunes
Thats all I got in mind right now.. I need to find some head studs and some other small stuff..

What do you guys think? any input would be helpful!

Well on the powerstrokeshop i noticed that its only has "standerd" pistons and rings. On black widow you can get ceramic/teflon pistons.. I thinks thats the differnce. Im not to sure eaither.

It is complete without injectors tho. I gave 600. goin to pick it up next week :rockwoot:

Good thing that you will be getting new up pipes to install you modded H2e, because it looks like the passenger side up pipe has a hole rusted in it lol.
Nice price on the motor though! Sounds like a fun build. :ford: you might want to think about adding push rods and valve spring to your list.

Can I use the rods that are in it now? Or should I go ahead and get some Crower Rods from Black Widow?

Reuse your rods as long as they're ok (get them checked). Swamps will tune it where it won't break once you get it built. Black Widow doesn't get a lot of love around here, that's what Dieselfever was talking about.

Oh ok thanks man.. Is 550hp around the limit on the stock rods?
