Not really sure where to start.... well, I guess I am looking here for answers to try and keep from taking her to a dealership....
I have had the same problem for quite some time... When I bought the truck, everything worked just fine... Then one day I went to drive it, and the speedometer wasn't working, the abs light was on, the seatbelt warning didn't go off, and the doors didn't lock when I put it in drive.... but then 10 minutes into the drive, all 4 items listed above started working as they should. Every drive after that for about a month it did this... Then progressively got worse. They would come on at different times, then I noticed the odometer would sparatically stop working, noticed the truck started losing power (it would take forever for the truck to get up to speed to get on the highway), but would always get there. A week ago, I took it to a local g2g, and had some of the guys look at it there, stumped them... we hooked two different computers with A.E. on them up to the truck and neither would connect with my truck, but the simple code scanners would read the egr code it was throwing (threw a cel on the way there)... One member drove it, and noticed the lag it had and that none of the above mentioned issues were working right.... then another member drove it, we were at a dead stop when we got back, truck in park and the speedo started bouncing around. This is the most cooperation I get out of any of these 4 items now and has been for over a month now. Well, a couple days ago... I was driving around town and it was doing all this as usual.... BUT!!!! When I went to leave the barn later that night.... the speedo works, the abs light was off, the doors locked as soon as I put it in drive, and the seat belt warning went off right away..... but knew something had gone goofy, because my radio had reset itself... Well, the next morning it went back to none of the items working.... now sparatically every couple times I drive it, everything will work just fine, and the rest of the time nothing will work right. Well tonight on my way to work, I went to get on the highway, everything was working just like it should and I even got power from the truck that I haven't gotten since I owned it... it literally put me back into the seat. Now this may sound weird, but I have timed my 0-60 when it wasn't working right (to try and get people to realize how laggy it was) and it took me 23 seconds.... I timed it tonight on the way to work, and from a dead stop to 60 it only took me 11 seconds (I know, not great, but quick for what I am used to with this truck).... Does anyone have ANY IDEA what the heck is going on with my truck, and how to get rid of this gremlin???? :shrug:
