really ford boys with strokers have no reason if everything goes as planned to be top 3 at least every year. what do dodge and gm got that ford doesnt to be competeive? i think we got the goods .

 

im not here to bash rocky but i wanna see a legit OBS stroker next year . i was excited when i seen that OBS truck then read cummins ugh. id really like to see a 1st gen dodge, 12v 2nd gen, 24v, cr 5.9 and a 6.7 vs a OBS stroker vs a 7.3 superduty, 6.0,6.4 vs duramax . that would be a badass comp. and im not a fan of chevys much but dmitris truck is like idk words cant describe it but i was actually pulling for him to repeat same that ####ty dodge tranny broke and dustin wests truck is pretty badass it seems every year DPC at leasts gets guys that are mostly laided back not pricks

Thanks guys. We were sure we made the top 3 and everyone including Dmitri was surprised when i got 5th place. I should have placed 2nd or 3rd in the sled pull but DPC never told anyone what ft they pulled. Also, we all agreed a re pull would only be issued only if we stopped before the agreed 75ft mark but they let Rocky get a re pull even though he went well past 100ft. Lots of stuff was kinda BS in my opinion but oh well, it was fun as hell! I had the option for a re pull since i went first but i said F it. It is what it is.

I feel i left alot of power on the table on the dyno but i was scared as hell after Owen blew his #### up right before me. I made 930hp at only 2950rpm.

I placed 4th overall but lost a tie since i got beat in fuel mileage which put me in 5th. Nitto didnt bring the tire size i asked for so i eneded up running the whole event on bald Nitto 420s. My trans let go in the mileage test (must have got hurt the day before) so for half the mileage test i ran in 4th gear at 75mph at 3000rpm. I still got 17.8mpg but wasnt good enough. At the sled pull we built a TCM tune that started me in 3rd and allowed me to shift to 4th and we just hoped it stayed together. When we opened up the trans we found my C1s C2s and C3s were smoked. Was a damn good trans though and lasted a long time.

yeah, because he opened the shop AFTER he was selected, but he was up fron enough to call them and see if it was still cool. they did make him remove his wrap.

backed is one thing, if the truck owner owns a shop, you're not getting in. remember what i told you when i got you in? but they may be doing a shop challenge in the near future. i'd love to see ****** and aaron's truck sledpulling.. :hehe:

 

I want to see another OBS take a shot at it. Might not do the best in the drag race or dyno but in the other areas I'm sure it would be a contender.

do you have to use the same driver for everything? I know most would not let someone else drive there truck in a competition but just curious if you could use someone used to drag racing if you don't have experience? Nothing against Shone, just wondering

 

Yes, the owner of the truck does ALL the driving. No substitute drivers.

 

Lol I believe it was 13.869 @ 69.... lol et frustrated me a bit :hehe: that thing musta been gettin down comin outta the hole...

 

The 60' still needed some work, but he did pretty good for being down a track only 3 times

 

I think it would've been a real fast run with room for improvement.

If he did 11.8 @ 8700 on 37's then I think it would've been an easy mid to low 11sec pass with what it got transformed in to.

 

i think it broke before the 330 mark, it was shift shift boom lol that fast, i think shone has the slip maybe when he gets back he will post it.
