What's needed from start to finish to make one?

You'll need the filter and holder.
About 4ft of 3/8 heater hose
2 fittings to go to and from the housing unit.
2 T fittings for the hose
You cann also get 2 valves so you can shut off the collant flow when you change the filter. I'll try to get a picture of how much sh!t my filter cleaned up.

I think that someone did their own and it worked out to be the same price as the Dieselsite one..... the performance machine has a good looking kit as well....

You can get the coolant filter head at Car Quest the part number is 89019 but you will have to make a mounting bracket for it. It runs about 44 dollars.

#6 ·
Is it good quality? And do you use it or do you know anyone that does?

I bought mine through dieselsite I think it was around 120 or something like that come with everything you need just can't beat the price.

you would probably get better responses if you started your own thread about that and not post your question in a thread about coolant filter set ups....
