CCV Mod on the 6.0?

I know this is a :lame: question but the search came up with "no results". Is everyone doing some kind of a CCV mod on the 6.0L like is done on the 7.3L?
I know that while doing some searching online I came across this BD CCV filter (boy that's the first time I've ever said their name while talking bought my truck:eek:) and at first it looked good until I pulled up the install manual and seen that there's 2 big hoses laid across the radiator shroud (nasty looking).

So any Ideas? Eventually I will be upgrading to a bigger turbo and don't want this crap in it. Can I just run a hose and vent crankcase fumes to atmosphere like I did with my 7.3, with hose ending right behind my rear axle on the driver's side?

And again, sorry for the :lame: question

That cat you're quoting in that link also "claims" there's no reason to delete the EGR, ROTFLMAO.

Rerouting the CCV to delete that tube sitting in front of the turbo, will, in stock trim or otherwise, reduce air turbulence, and therefore, re-divide the amount of restriction present that had been sustained with the tube there in the first place. This, on a small level, leads to better pumping efficiency, which if you were to add fuel and other mods to said truck, will in effect, compound efficiency.

If you go here and look at the 4th from the top someone has even given instructions on doing it for $15 in supplies...lol:shrug:

I'm doing mine when I install the AFE I bought for her. I'm wanting to keep the oil residue to a minimum. Just going to vent it out the rear like I did on my '01 7.3L

i did it....seems everyone does it...

a 5/8th pipe thread will hand thread perfect into the elbow on cover....i got a 5/8th pipe to 1/2" barb and 12' of 1/2 hose....the plug needed to plug the intake is like a 3/4 or something large pipe thread plug....buy a few sizes cuz i got screwed with a truck apart and wrong size..

like 10 bucks to do it...mines under drivers seat...no smell yet

i also cut the top off the thing that sticks into the intake....left it there with the stock hose elbow on it...and plugged where i took the 90* fitting out by cover...so if i ever need to put it back...take off hose...plug back together...intake don;t even have to come off and i am back to stock for dealer trips..
