Put an 05-07 front clip on. Throw some stix and a turbo on there and call it a day. 30k cheaper.

 

I've considered the same thing, but always come back to keeping the truck I have. I just cant seem to bring myself to sell it.

I agree with irontx25...throw a 05-07 front clip on it.

 

I can't bring myself to sell mine either, used trucks are too damn high!!! 100k mile powerstrokes and their still $25K+. I'm trying to bring the spice back into mine by making a custom front bumper. I started it tonight. How easy is it for the 05 conversion?

 

if you can make your own front bumper, then you can bolt up all the stuff for the 05-07 front end. its all direct bolt up. header panel, headlights, grill, bumper.

You really should bolt on an 05 grille on there and then build the bumper. The 05 grille is larger and the bumper needs to be notched for it. Just doing that is going to update your front end...

 

Yeah pass up the 05 front end and go with the 08 if that's what you like I'd love to do this to my 07 if I had the opportunity!

 

yes they are more powerfull, i love mine.

Now the cons, bigger truck payment, higher insurence, all trucks break.

 

Insurance is high for me anyways.....damn record and my 6 points

 

just keep it if your not having issues. there is plenty of things you can do to make it personal.

 

do a 05-07 clip swap and 08+ mirror swap.

if you piecemeal it, you can do the swap a littl here, a little there when the $$$ is available.

start with the headlights, find a grille, bumper...etc. You don't have to do it all at 1 time

or if you like having the big chrome bumper...just get the modded '05-07 grill that MKM customs sells and get '05-07 headlights. This is what i did and it dramaticly changed my truck. I kept my bumper instead of getting the '05-07 bumper cause i like them better than the newer ones.
