I really dont need it at all with this setup....75mph with one finger on the wheel...Drives great with these 37's....I just figure if i go with a 14.50-15.50 tire in the future it might be needed...
I don't have them on my OBS, but from everything I have heard they are well worth it. My buddy swears they saved his life. He was driving at 65 and had a front tire blow out, with the steering stabilizer he was able to control it and stop.
That indeed helps. I would like the Bilsteins though.
I just wanted to make sure I get the bracket setup where one dampener is on each side... ive seen skyjacker or some kit have both dampeners mounted on one side.
I doubt tuff country site will substitute bilstein for theirs lol
Cool! I guess ill call them tomorrow.
I found the replacement cylinders in bilstein, but they dont have a bracket and full kit on their site for the OBS.
Nobody does. lol i figured one of the kits for the 99-04 had to fit ours, but i wasnt sure. And i hate ordering something, waiting, then returning it. lol
I need this with the brackets is what ill tell em! lol BIL: (2) Bilstein 5100 Series Upgrade Cylinders Dual Steering Stabilizer
The brackets that were pictures a couple posts back would be ridiculously easy to fabricate yourself. Just cut a piece of 1/4 (even that's likely over doing it) into the brackets/tabs pictures and drill some holes to accept a 3 inch ubolts and whatever size the tie rod bar is ubolt. I would be making this and just buyin the bilsteins.
Looks like thats the route Im gunna have to go.
I called TGC and he said that they had nothing that would work with one stabilizer on each side. Only two mounted to one side.
I like the look and the way the dual go across the axle. I think it'd dampen better, but thats just me thinking I have nothing to back that up.
Ill have to look into this a bit more. Was hoping it'd be an easy purchase n bolt on since like i said I have shocks coming.
I am not calling you a liar but i hate when a bussiness tell people they cant do things when they will they are just to lazy or Ignorant
the duall destup they are talking about is mainly for the 73-79 fords the tough country kit i posted is just like mine
Here is the brackets i found them for ya looks like it $75 Tab Ford Accessories | BDS Suspension http://bds-suspension.com/instructions/55351.pdf
Not enough Smoke,
Do you have this setup on your truck currently? Would you be able to take a measurement of the main bracket length for me? The 01513 in these instructions http://bds-suspension.com/instructions/55351.pdf
My truck already had that bracket on it when I got it. I would measure it but I am in the gulf of mexico and my truck is in Tenn so really cant get to it.
I ordered a dual in line kit from bds suspension for the obs trucks then the bilstein shocks from top gun customz.
