Hello Powerstroke fans! Im new to this forum!

I have a few questions, I am thinking of doing a turbo swap. I was thinking of swapping to a s362 or s364. I dont ever do towing much towing and if so its under 4k. I want to be about 550 hp.

I was lookin at the warren diesel injectors at holder down performance, I see they have 175cc injectors, one with stock and 75% nozzels. What is the difference, there is a big price difference tho.

Hi and welcome to the forum!! I'm Rykan one of the owners of Holderdown performance. For not much towing and wanting some power I'd go with the 64mm turbo and bigger than stock nozzels such as 75% for sure. The big price diffrence comes from the new performance cut nozzels. They are not just extrude honed like some. The bigger nozzle will empty the injector of fuel faster. Therefor in the upper end of your rpm range you can inject your fuel in the prime spot (piston bowl) for the most power. Hope this helps!

first you want a 62mm or 64mm then you bring up 66mm?

i'd say 190/75 and a 64/71/70 would be a decently quick street setup and an okay >8k towing setup...

these threads are getting old.. what happened to trial and error:doh:

send me your credit card and ill build your truck for you... this is what i told a customer after he handed me a heated fass system, an aurora 4000 and 225cc injectors to install on his truck... needless to say he got his truck back with a much different setup and I have a shelf full of parts to sell.

In order to have a truck that makes 700hp reliably, your going to be in your truck $15k at the least. What mods do you currently have?

You want 700hp but don't want it to get expensive? Injectors aren't your only but expense. But you can't expect to cheap out and have reliability either. If I'm buying that big of an injector (it'll take a big one to get that 700 number), I sure as hell don't want to go cheap. Ben then there's the issue of turbo, which will cost you 3/4 the price of those injectors, more than likely dual HPOP (which ain't cheap), fuel system, built trans (another $5k)....see where this is going? "Being in it $15k at least" is 100% accurate.

Now let's talk about everyday usefulness of the truck. Forget ever towing again with that setup, and I'd imagine it's not going to be the most pleasant daily driver. But if this truck is just a toy, and nit your primary means of transportation, have at it. Just don't expect it to be cheap.

You better have deep pockets and be committed to go all in and do it right if you want a reliable high power daily driver truck. Trust me I know from experience.

Building a high hp 6.0 is a lot like dating the hot chick. You get all excited at first, thinking it's going to be a blast, but soon realize it costs WAY more than its even worth.

Usually only takes a few posts with dollars and cents thrown out there in them to scare most off.

Yeah but when it all said and done and built it's bad ass to have and a blast to drive.

I don't doubt that at all, but most people don't have the time, expertise, or funds to upkeep/maintain/own one over 600hp.

I think a lot of people get caught up in the internet hype of what they think they should have. One should do their research pretty well before settling on a setup for their vehicle.

I blame YouTube. People, watch a video of a truck running hard, owners says "it's just got injectors and turbo", and people say to themselves "I can make that happen". They don't know about all the other supporting additions it takes to make those "injectors and turbo" reliable.

More than that my friend. These sites as well. I presume a lot of people probably aren't 100% honest about their set ups or have an actual clue what hp they are actually putting out.
