I would recommend talking to a good installation guy and he will answer all your questions. I have remote start on my 97 & love it. Viper will work on your diesel.

 

Ya I don't know why it would say not for diesels I have a viper alarm with remote on my o6

it works fine it has a delay for the wait to start and a crank time that is adjustable

I also recommend a good installer it will likely need some add on modules to get it dialed in

on mine I did let the installer do it because the 5r1110 transmission can be smoked if you don't do the remote start right,, you don't have that concern

yours won't be to bad but the guys doing mine took 12 hours and called DEI like 5 times

check out the 12volt.com site they have some wiring and other info

 

So wired it up and the thing won't turn the dash on or crank or flash anything. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for viper the kit didn't cone with good instructions
