Ok guys so here goes , first off I have ton research after research to no avail. , so this has happened a couple times to me where truck ran fine the previous day then next day go to start and all I get is a long crank and no start , in the past after a few trys at the key it would fire up and run fine for a few days or even months , well the other day on Thanksgiving did a 300 mile trip to my parents and back truck ran fine parked at home next morning it would not fire up just cranks no start , checked my batterys one was bad so put a new one on tried to start and no luck , hooked up jumper cables thinking maybe still low on cranking amps still wouldnt fire up , so I assumed my fuel filters were bad so I changed those out with ford OEM filters , yes I installed properly as I've done them before with no issue , purged per instructions, and still long crank no start. Checked fuses everything looks good, low pressure pump is pumping fuel. now I pulled the codes I have 4 codes stored , p2471 , p246e , p20b9 now I know these codes are for the exhaust stuff will any of these codes give me a no start ? The other code was a p062a , this is the one that's confusing me because it has to do with the low pressure pump but the pump runs and works , I pulled line off the engine filter and fuel is pumping out ?? I'm stuck now and am wondering is my fuel pump bad even though it works? Truck has 181k no issues prior other than a egr issue couple years ago that the dealer fixes under warranty.
