this thing has me stumped, ran fine when it was shut off, about 10-15 minutes later it wouldn't restart. turns over fine but will not run
i checked the codes and these came up:
p0603
p0671
p0673
p0675
p0677
p1000
p1378
p2268

there was no check engine light on before hand and had started right up, anyone know what would cause this?

it turned over fine but, i put jumper cables on and let it charge a while then tried it with the jumper cables still on and no difference. i thought maybe the glow plug harness had come loose since all the codes are on the same side but i didn't see any obvious problems. i'm at a loss with this thing

Unhook both batteries and hook the +/- together after both batts unhookked, check bother battery voltage and charge and get batteries tested, clean any corrosion on the cables. Pull your small fuel filter and make sure you have fuel there. After batts are tested good and charged up or replaced run the glow plugs but dont start 3 30 sec cycles. Start the truck then deal with the glow plugs

swapped in a known good ficm just to see if it made any difference, i finally got torque pro on my phone, the highest ficm power side voltage i saw was 41v and the logic side 9v. both sides quickly fall once i start cranking it over, what am i missing here? i'm gonna guess this is gonna end up being a wiring problem

That reading is with the "known good FICM"? Low voltage in batteries is my thoughts.

Might check the batts with a multi meter then compair to the reading on the app, i think there is also a volt reading at the ecm in the app, they should all be the same or close to it, i think you can also check the volts with a multimeter on the ficm itself but you have to be careful. As far as fixing that if your reading are off im not sure, might check the ficm connections.

I would still be looking batteries. Don't trust a autozone test.

With logic voltage that low, I'd start looking at batteries. They are either bad or have bad connection. Check voltage with a multimeter with key off and while cranking. While cranking, voltage should not drop below 10.5 volts or so. Anything less, replace batteries.

If they come out good, then check FICM logic power at it's source as follows:
Check Engine compartment Fuse 5 (50A) This should show battery voltage at all times.
Check Engine compartment Fuse 15 (15A) this should show battery voltage with the key on and FICM relay energized.

If you have battery power at those fuses, but you still see 9v on your scan tool, then it's time to check some wiring. You'll want the FICM connector closest to the front of the truck, and check continuity between pin 8 and the fuse 15 (wht/blk wire).

There is also a 12 pin connection that should be to the right of the driver side battery as looking from driver side fender. Pull it apart and look for corrosion and a tight fit.
