I'm building a tow pig. It will be a 2008 F350 with a modded Cummins 6.7.

I'm tentatively planning to use a 2008 ZF6, which went behind a 6.4 rated at 650 ftlbs.

The Cummins 6.7 is going to make more than 500 HP when its revved up and will probably make 1100 ftlbs at the flywheel at cruising rpms, all day long.

Is a ZF6 up to that sort of punishment, all day long ?

What is the torque limit of the input shaft on a ZF6 ?
