Put a South Bend Clutch in my CC about 15,000 miles ago a few months over a year.

Throwout bearing just took a Dump.....

Pulled trans out and the bearing just exploded...

Has cut a grove in the tube that theBearing slides back and forth on...

Is there a repair for this??:bowfast:

Please let me know what I need and were to get it..

I ordered a new fork and bearing ..
will be in Monday..

Thanks

About 6 months ago I called them and asked if they had any throwout bearing issues...

Mine had made a noise once in a while..

They said NO that it probly is my Throwout bearing fork...
When I put the Clutch I checked everything as best as I could.
Even put a new Slave on just in case..

I was able to get a can of spray grease with a straw and shot some at the throwout bearing thru the boot and lower shield..

Now yesterday I had a loud squeel, a rumble ...

Sometime when I push it or with out pushing I would get the noise.

I came right home and pulled the lower shield and out came 6 of the steel ball bearings...

Pulled it apart to find the throwout bearing in pieces and the tube has a grove in it..

Also the pressuer plate fingers have ware marks in them...

I ordered a Ford Throwout bearing and a the Fork .. Will have Monday ..
But un sure what to do adout the other..

Thanks
John

Well....
I sent a Emaill with some pics...to South Bend on Friday...
Monday AM got a call back..
Said they would send me a new Pressure Plate, Thow out Bearing and Pilot Bearing..:bowfast:

Came today..
Just like they said..

I still had to buy a Fork , and the front trans piece. and do all the labor..

By the way.. The piece that the throw out bearing rides on.. at least on my ZF is pressed in from the inside..

I had to pull trans apart.
Press out the main bearing race and the damaged piece..
Press in the new one and then the race, re assemble trans and on I went..
