I took up a summer job working for a mobile mechanic and love it :D . However the boss-man is old-school and so are his rigs. Truck number one, the black horse; l8000 ford, 8.1l cummins, six speed stick, custom built body, compressor and tank, mig welder, and crane. fFve inch turbo back exhaust, whistles like crazy.

Truck number two is a 4500 chev. Crewcab, 6.6 kitty cat with an auto, shorter service body with all the same accesories as the ford, but no outriggers as of yet. Horribly gutless but rides nicer than the ford, whistles a fair bit too with a six inch chrome stack.

BTW, the 6.6 is gutless in the 4500, the auto doesn't help either.

Thanks. It sucks ford quit building the L-model after 30 years of production. They were and are damn fine trucks. Never thought I would see the day ford quit building a big truck but it happened in 1999 when sold out to sterling.
