All, I have a 2008 F-250 4x4 FX4 w/ the 6.4 PSD. Any idea what the wiring harness out of my rear axle if used for? Thanks.

The sensor is used to measure the speed of the rear wheels, your carrier in your rear end has a ring mounted to it the spins along with the ring gear, this ring has teeth on it that get counted as they pass by this sensor...much like a crank sensor...it uses this info to calculate wheel speed and it's also used for the ABS system...

Also when it goes out your trans won't shift out of 1st.
