I always thought it would be cool too, it would eliminate even more heat in the truck, and would make a lower profile, but knowing how big of a biatch it is to see out of the back of my truck at night time with 20% tint + the factory when backing up. I don't know if I could handle it out the front windshield. Especially with my headlights, their not ultra bright.
windshield would be hard to do, unless you are really good at it. with he curve of the winshield you would probably get some air bubbles. it would be time consuming. you can put sunglasses on in about 5 seconds compared to the hours or tinting. i'd stick with the sunglasses, they are cheap, fast to take on and off and they make ya look cool when you are rollin coal. LOL
mine is done, 35% on the full windshield, and 20% on the side windows, I can see perfectly fine day and night, its very nice to knock the glare off the oncoming lights at night and knock the inside temp down on the truck, plus it helps reduce fade on the interior:
inside looking out
outside looking in:
the suburban sucked at night, it had 5% on the front two windows, and 20% over the factory tint on alll the back windows and 35% on the windshield and dark blue leather interior.
yes it was ghetto..LOL
Is it legal, no, have I been pulled over for it, no. I have it on my truck, my wife's Edge, had it on my old suburban and old accord, never had any issues. But if we are talking legality woodducks 5% and 15% probably isn't legal either.
Hey, how’s it going. I’m planning on buying a 96 F-350 7.3
The truck is basically stock. It’s had some small work done, like new 4x4 locking hubs, new batteries, Temperature gauges, new wheel bearings, recent turbo rebuild from previous owner, 4” exhaust. It has 380,000km.
Its in pretty decent...
Was having oil coming down the valley and running down the back of the engine. Close look showed it was a turbo drain seal had failed. Decided to put in a new turbo set and while i was at it, put in some new up pipes during the fix. Well, after removing the stock pipes, which had a delete kit...
Just built a 300 BLK AR pistol. All parts cleaned before being installed. Brought it out to do some initial test firing to figure out what weight buffer worked best, and when I went to do a mag swap after only 150 rounds, I couldn't pull the BCG out of battery to chamber a round. After giving...
I am new to the forum. I looked for a thread on this and didnt find one. 6.4 cracked a piston and now time for a rebuild. I called River City Diesel and got a quote on parts and planned to buy everything needed from them. Sales sent me a quote and I was very pleased with our correspondence. I...
Hey everyone- I’m looking toward to your feedback with this one. I am primarily experiencing the no start issue when it’s cold. I can’t recall it happening warm/hot at all.
Sometimes I will get Crank No Start, but I haven’t noted if there is smoke (fuel) yet. I’ll have to check next time it...
