I'm looking to get a double din radio . What all does it take to get one to fit? I have not even picked one out yet, wanted to make sure they would work .

You should just need the radio, double din install kit, and wiring harness

This last week I put a radio in my truck and was going to do a double. The guy at the radio shop I was at said in some models there is some cuting and trimming involved but I dindnt have my truck there for him to tell me for shure. So I bought a single din Pioneer just to be safe.

I have a double din in my 2002 Crew and love it. You will have to trim the inside lip of the opening. If you have a dremmel it will take you less then 10 min.

P.S I have the Pioneer App radio 2

Ya I put a double din in my 99, had to do a little trimming, and a little modification to get it to hold in the opening, but it was worth it. The face fits nicely where the stock radio unit was.
