I just bought an 06 Harley truck, 84k miles auto. No issues yet but prepping for a cummins swap with built dodge auto.

What is my 6.0 worth? And what's the auto's selling for with the transfer case?
Less than 100k miles, no egr issues, no check engine lights, never chipped, virgin engine?

Most of the shops I've spoken with about doing a bullet input intermediate and output shaft all say that over the long run the ford trannys won't take the tq of the cummins. Maybe you guys can verify/prove this wrong?

They are right, 5r110 holds a 6.0 great because it doesnt make near the low end torque the cummins will. even on a 6.4 with 3.31 gears they dont hold up as well once you make over 700hp. 4r100 or 47re would be your better choice trans for that setup.

Yeah I'm very familiar with the built dodges. Best friends 2wd 94 runs high tens, stock bottom end 12valve on a single turbo no nitrous. I just need to decide wether or not to part with the ford auto or what. If I do a dodge tranny, next thing is figuring out how to get 4wd to run on the dash and things like that. Since the 12v's are vacuum actuated...

There is another thread here with a guy trying to sell an identical motor, 2k is what everyone told him. I buy these motors to keep around for when customers come in and I pay between 700 and 2300 for good motors at or below 100k miles. Shoot me a PM if your serious about selling. I was looking for one earlier but ended up buying a whole wrecked truck instead, but like I said, I can always get another because I will end up using it down the road. And if it helps you out to sell it great!

2300 dollars seems really low for a running good condition v8 diesel engine. Under 100k miles?

ford charges close to 18k for the removal of a stock one, installation and price of a new one...

these have to go for at least 4k in good condition.

Low?
I cant GIVE my good core engine away

YOU can rebuild one for less than 2k. And you can have a rebuilt one for 4-5k

Perhaps it depends on what part of the country your in. I'd say its worth $3500-$4000 where I live. That is based on what I've sold them here for. There are allot of these trucks out there with blown engines....most owners can't afford the $14k from ford so they buy a used one, install it and unload the truck. It’s also a losing deal to put 14k in a truck that doesn’t carry the best resale value...vs a 7.3L. Don’t believe me? Look at the price differences in a 03 6.0 vs a 03 7.3.

How about the transmissions with no slipping/dripping/issues?
