Quick video we made about what comes in and with the ISSPRO Pyrometer Gauge.

Monitoring your EGT's (Exhaust Gas Temperature's) on your diesel truck is VERY important, especially if you tow or have ANY performance modifications. Being able to watch your EGT's can give you a true thumb on the pulse of how hard your engine is working, this way you will know if you can get into the throttle more or need to back out. Excessive EGT's can lead to results ranging from minor engine issues, turbo failure, and even a complete engine failure. (Not fun or cheap!)

General rule of thumb is to not hold any EGT's higher than 1250 degrees. Of course there will be spikes every now and then for a few seconds (1300+), maybe an on ramp, or passing someone however you will not want to hold anything above 1250 degree for an extended amount of time.

As always, let us know if you have any questions, we are happy to help!
