I've done some minor upgrades to my 7.3 (4" exhaust, K & N Intake, boost relief valve, ats ported compressor housing and wicked wheel) and sadly I purchased the Edge W/ Attitude before I heard about the DP Tuners. I like to play some (muddin and some smoking of the tires) but my rig is mostly a daily driver and towing my horse trailer. I'd like to cont. do upgrades and also protect my investment. My tranny is what I worry most about. I've heard that with this chip it has the potential to fry my tranny. Now I only drive it on mileage and will boost it to race if I want to smoke them then drop it back down but when I'm pulling my trailer (I'm on stock or tow) my SEL will come on. Before I got the edge I thought it was a boost problem but I know that's not it. When I towed last week I threw the light then took it to my mech. He pulled a code and for the life of me I can't remember what the # was but it was a code in so many words saying I'm asking more of my tranny than is recommended. If I slow down it goes off in 5 or so minutes. So is there anything I can do to beef up my tranny to protect it and what should be my next upgrade to my engine to help assure it stays protected. I would like to in time dump the edge and go with the DP but again I don't play too much. I'd say the hardest thing it does is towing and that's maybe only once a month. Any input would be great!

Was the code related to slipage? Your question might be best asked in the transmission section where the pros hang out. I think you have a great my space page by the way.

No it was more on the lines that I asked more from it that is recommended but when it happens again I'll get the code. It doesn't slip or give me any indications it having a problem but just want to make sure I don't push it to a problem. I also service it and have it flushed every 25k miles. Thanks about the myspace :)

The code could be something to do with the MAP sensor. Do you have a boost fooler in the map line? Not sure the edge would require one because of the lower power they produce. I saw your myspace too! Need a hubby?

LMAO. My Shire X has a great time playing with a 4 yo Friesian. Beautiful horses. Let me know if you have to cull any of the Friesian herd.
