I have had Dipricols on my other truck with no problems.
What do you like?
I don't think I want the gauge with the converter box, I
like it to read without the key on.

I have an Autometer gauge that does not have a converter box, but it does have a pair of red and black wires that provides power, I beleive, so you still have to have the key on.

No, the light is completely seperate, with it's own wires. It plugs into the back of the meter.

I think your going to be hard pressed to find a fully mechanical pyro... Isspro would be your best bet... PM Michael here and ask him what they have...

Are Dipricols not mechanical?
I didn't have the box, just the probe connections, and I think 2 wires
for power to the lights.

VERY few modern pyros are fully mechanical... Just because there is no amp box does not make it a mechanical gauge.

What determines if there is a amp box ?
Isspro uses "amp" boxes in there EV line so they can have better lighting, But they have also started making the EV2 and performax which dont have the amp box...

Autometer do not have an amp box, everything is in the gauge, same with diprocl...
