so i spray down the old girls guts with a good dose of degreaser right after changing the fuel filter ( yes i got the gasket seated, ive been down that road before and made quite sure that it was not leaking through the lid AT ALL), then i wait about twenty minutes and spray down with water to clean the motor (yes i covered the air filter) so then after a few other odds and ends (added a touch of trans fluid and put some exhaust brackets on) I take her for a spin......and now my water in fuel light is on....it gets brighter under accel (could be from the alternator) but anyways its on now after a new filter soooo wtf????????

Park it with the hood open the sun shining on it tomorrow. I bet the problem fixes it self.
