Wanting to do egr delete but will it black smoke?

My Ford dealer did the EGR delete with the River City kit I gave them and I had no CEL light. I also wasn't using a programmer. This was on a 2007 6.0 liter.

No smoke, nor could I feel any difference in power. Just didn't have to deal with all the egr valve and cooler failures any more.
