Anybody know where the vin number is on the frame? I'm in the middle of swapping cabs on a truck at work and I talked a guy at the dmv who needs to see the vin number on the frame (part of the process I guess). Also, are all the 1997 obs regular cabs interchangeable (gassers, diesels, 4wd, 2wd)? Thanks in advance.

Supposed on top of the frame on the passenger side.
The 70s were between the front cab mount and the shock mount.
Superdutys are between the front and rear cab mount.

Should of NEVER told DMV what you were doing, just put the vin number from original cab in the donor and been done.

And YES the cabs are all the same weather 2wd/4wd, gas/diesel

On my 92 F350 frame that I had down to bare frame to paint I never did find any vins on it and I went over the whole frame many times cleaning it.
