I've got an '02 that has the basic initial mods done to it and am now looking to take the truck a bit further. I've read these forums until my eyes were bleeding and have a good idea of what I will do but thought it wouldn't hurt to throw out what I'm thinking and see what the opinions are.

Truck as is:

6637 Donaldson filter
4" MBRP exhaust
Hutch mod
Harpoon mod
DP Tuner (40 tow, 60 tow, 60 daily, 80 daily)
Boost & EGT gauges
Stock trans temp gauge
Leveling kit
Bags in the rear
295 Cooper AT3 XLTs

What I plan to do:

BW 364.5 SXE or 366 SXE with the T4 mount kit (ceramic coated)
160/30 or 180/40 FF injectors
Boots and clamps kit (with new plenums)
Adrenaline or Terminator HPOP
DP Reg Return with bowl delete or Irate IDP standardFS
New tunes (either reflash DP or switch to Hydra)
Sinister upfitter panel for future gauges and switches

The truck does tow (~3000 - 12000 lbs) a couple times a month and regularly has weight (1500lbs) in the bed. It is also one of my DDs and we use it for our vacations (put the camper shell on and load it up). I want the truck to be reliable, strong, and somewhat fun.

And go.....

Welcome to PSN.

Looks good to me...

I'd do the Hydra tuner (I'm switching to one very soon). Pulling/sending the chip everytime you want to modify tunes is a PIA.

And while you're at it, have them add a "100hp" and/or "140hp" tune to it... ya know, just for fun!

OK.. good start.. BUT you haven't even mentioned the transmission

- I believe that stock trans temp gauge is not accurate, get a real one
- Get a 6.0 trans cooler
- Get a more aggressive trans valve body or you will kill the clutches
- Think about a new torque converter as the stack one will not like the power
- Make sure to have a tow tune to lower the power and have better shifting to protect the trans
