How much boost are these turbos capable of and how do they perform, I've read that they flow more than the Garret BB. I've seen them called GDS, Phat shaft, and the USA turbo to help clarify

Because it flows a hair less and spools a hair slower. You don't wanna get these things too fast you know....

To stay on topic...... that turbo is a pile of Sh#t IMO. Run the stocker or get something worth running. That turbo is neither.

Bare in mind, that's just my opinion. You should consider all info you recieve, and make your choice based on that.

But that really is how I feel about it, lol.

Your right, the Garrett is a Pile of $hit... It surges, it stalls, it leaks and it has no warranty...

Do it right and get the Turbonetics turbo... There is a reason why there are fewer and fewer Garrett turbos being sold, because there is better out there now.

to the OP you're not going to go wrong either way. the TN does have slightly lower drive pressures. both turbos have their followings. i have a TN and have run it for over a year now with no problems. i will be upgrading it to the BB center section soon. with an AFE2 the spool up is a bit slower than stock.

I'm sure Honeywell Garrett is shakin in their boots......

O I am sure Honeywell could give one #### about diesel performance, that part of the issue... Garrett knows how to fix the issues with the GTP-38r, but they turn a blind eye because up until now there has never been another choise for a drop in...

I would rather buy from a company that represents ME, and the HOBBY I love, not for a multi BILLION dollar company looking out for the shareholders and nothing else...

i just prefer turbonetics in general, better warranty never used it but glad it's there, cooler dealers (brian doesn't drink fruity pink drinks... cough cough... lott :hehe:)
on edit: daisy is hot too. what ever happened to her? lott's only redeeming quality was that picture of him autographing her... PTSUPERD where'd that go?!

What he said, Garret turbos belong on industrial equipment, thats their bread and butter, not aftermarket performance. Garret's light duty line up accounts for a tineeeey percentage of there bussiness. I am sure they could care less.:(
