updated ford TC part number?

since my other thread has been hi-jacked :swordfight:

I want to just put a converter in my trans to try and get to the end of the year... then I should have the means available to build the bad mo-fo trans I need.

So what's that updated ford TC part number? How much should I be paying for it? Can anyone hook me up with one?

Please don't make me play russian roulette with ebay tc's :gun:

thanks!

Ford still uses the plastic caps in those converters. About $600 gets you a full redesign with all rollers, no plastic caps, tweaked beefer stator, triple disc w/billet cover. Less than that $ you will have the plastic that brings it down in heat. This thread is over a month old anyway.

don't be hatin' :flipa:

That wasn't it. Ford has 3 converters for 4R100's. Up to $650 now and they want the # stamped on the old one. No specs available in the dealer parts data base. Alot of parts have gone up in price in the last 3 months. Every one I've seen has plastic in it that heat will bring down, and steel cover. John Wood does have converters.

The number I posted above is the one that Brian recomended I get when he sent me my pump and valve bodys. That was within the last year.
Yes it's a good part # Msrp is over $450 now. A shops discount will lower the price. Bigblockhorse has a converter that's good too.
yes :poke: no extreme trans temps either.

If yes means reverse works ok, it isn't the converter.
