Does anyone happen to know what just the labor cost typically is for the full rebuild of a 6r140? I'm buying the warren rebuild kit and reman valve body. Just don't know what typical costs should be on the labor. I dont want to get taken for a ride.

mattewd11...I have a question and you appear to be very knowledgeable. My 2015 F350 began a 2nd-3rd shift flutter a few months ago and yday it began to shift really hard that resulted in a loss of movement as I limped home. I went out to move it today and only after 1/4 mile it lost acceleration so I returned home in 2nd gear. After returning home I wanted to back it in but the truck would not go into reverse. Any ideas/thoughts?

With loss of third and reverse you likely have a problem with direct clutch (used in reverse, 3, 5) it’s more than likely a seal problem (clutch piston or Teflon sealing ring). It doesnt completely rule out a worn out clutch but it’s possible. Where are you located?

That has nothing to do with the transmission, that is just telling you the sensor on the CCV tube has a problem (doesn’t really effect anything).

With no TCM codes can just about rule out anything electrical. And in reverse direct is applied mechanically so that rules out any solenoids.

What’s your plan for overhaul?

I’ve yet to determine. Your info begins that conversation.
