If you are removing your turbo from the pedestal, you will need the "turbo hardware" kit which includes the o-rings for the oil drain tube and three new turbo-to-pedestal bolts and a new paper gasket for the oil supply line connection to the turbo.
There is a new(er) turbo oil supply line that is a solid line, no more stainless steel flex joint. If your turbo oil supply line has the flex joint, you should replace it.
The new(er) turbo oil drain tube has a smooth bend in it. The older one had a bad bend (with a slight kink) which created a small restriction.
What they do is, as their name implies. The turbo oil supply line is the skinny line that goes to the top of the turbo. The oil flows from the top down. The oil drain tube sits on the pedestal and is inserted into the bottom of the turbo. The other end of the drain tube is inserted into the HPOP cover. There are o-rings on both ends of the drain tube. When installing the turbo drain tube, do not insert the tube deeper than .9 inches into the HPOP cover. If you do that, remove the drain tube and replace that o-ring and try again. The o-ring can catch on a lip on the HPOP cover, nicking it. That would cause a leak.
If your talking about the upgraded ford feed and drain tubes you wont be able to tell a difference but your turbo will thank you for it. It lets more cooling/lubricating oil in and out of the turbo quicker.
