picked up a ts performance single bank chip, the box says "ts performance 75hp chip for 96 ford f250/350 7.3l 5 speed". theres a sticker on the side that reads "TS7.3LMPC" with a number "1180401".

we hooked it up to a 97 f250 7.3 auto and it made the trans slip so bad it would barely take off

so my questions are, can this be reburned as a 6 pos? it has the place for the cable, that goes to the knob to hook up. can i buy the cable/knob assembly seperate? any information anyone can give me would be awesome!! :bowfast:

heres a pic:

Do you have a pic of the other side of the chip? The side shown doesn't show the side that allows for the knob to be hooked up. Also did you make sure that the connections where VERY clean when you put it in? A bad connection will cause all kinds of problems.

It's a multi-position chip. The part number ending in "MPC" denotes that.

If you have a 5-pin header on the other side, it's a 4-position chip. If you have a 7-pin header, it's a 6-position chip.

In either case, a switch and a reburn will get you where you want to be.
